The latest addition to my website is Ghazaleh Alizadeh‘s خانه ادریسیها (The House of The Edrisis (Volume 2), following on from first volume. It continues the story of the three remaining members of the Edrisi, whose house has been taken over by revolutionaries. However the Edrisis and the revolutionaries have reached a way of living together. However as with all too many revolutions, the revolution aimed to get rid of the oppressors but has itself become oppressive. Some of the residents are arrested, some flee to the mountains to join the counter-revolution, some go abroad and some even stay. Alizadeh gives us the colourful stories of many of the characters from different background and tells an excellent
story of a revolution that fails.
