Susan Daitch: The Adjudicator

< The latest addition to my website is Susan Daitch‘s The Adjudicator. The novel is set sometime in the future with babies made to order in a genetics facility, thereby eliminating most diseases, mental and physical. However sometimes things go wrong and the adjudicators have to deal with these problems. Our heroine, Zedi Loew, is dealing with a case where one mother has alleged cross-contamination with another child but the mother has disappeared . Zedi is somewhat naive and we and then she gradually find that things are not as they seem, with lax security, many key players having decidedly dubious pasts and, indeed, presents and her career and life very much at risk. As well as a fascinating whodunnit story. Daitch gives us a lot of interesting discussions about genetics.DNA/heredity.
